That is why we look beyond the colour alone. Loose paint, open joints and damage need suitable preparation. We discuss cleaning, sanding, repairs and the paint system before painting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not sure whether it is time to repaint? Photos help with an initial assessment, but an on-site inspection may be needed to decide on the final approach.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scheduling and weather conditions<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For exterior painting, the surface and conditions must be suitable for the chosen product. Rain, moisture and temperature can affect the work and drying time. We agree the schedule with you and discuss any changes needed because of the weather.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much does exterior painting cost?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our rate is <strong>\u20ac50 per hour excluding VAT<\/strong>, with a minimum booking of <strong>4 hours<\/strong>. Travel time is charged separately. We arrive by bicycle or cargo bike and charge no call-out or parking fees.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total cost depends on the number of window frames or other items, the condition of the woodwork, preparation and access. We discuss paint, materials, wood repairs and any scaffolding or other equipment beforehand. Please also include photos showing the height and access.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How we assess your painting job<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Send photos, the location, the floor level and a description of the work.<\/li><li>We discuss the surface, repairs, materials and equipment needed.<\/li><li>We agree on a schedule with you, allowing for suitable painting conditions.<\/li><\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can you also repair damaged wood?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We discuss the repairs needed and whether they can be included in the painting job or need to be combined with carpentry. Serious damage needs suitable repairs first.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How often should exterior woodwork be painted?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no fixed interval that suits every home. Sun exposure, maintenance, the paint system and the condition of the woodwork all matter.
